Annually, established investigators are honoured with the Swiss Heart Foundation Research Prize for their outstanding scientific contribution to the prevention, diagnosis and/or treatment of cardiovascular or cerebrovascular diseases. In 2020, this highly prestigious prize is awarded to Prof. Giovanni G. Camici, director of the Center for Molecular Cardiology, for his highly cited publications on genetic mechanisms that are involved in both, ageing and cardiovascular diseases.
